Course

This training was created to help resource parents understand a child’s family of origin. It also addresses cultural and adjustment considerations that may make the placement transition easier on everyone.

In this training, you will receive a brief overview of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), tips to help children with ASD, and common treatment options.

LGBTQIA+ Terms- (2hrs.)

Course

This training defines some of the most common terms and symbols associated with the LGBTQIA+ community. It is recommended to take this training prior to the KidsPeace training Working with LGBTQIA+ Youth.

Working with LGBTQIA+ Youth- (2hrs.)

Course

In this training you will learn how to: debunk some of the major myths concerning LGBTQIA+ youth, learn the statistic for youth with diverse SOGIE, and understand some of the Do's and Don'ts about how to help these youth.
